YONKERS, N.Y. -- Some 92 Yonkers property owners may receive more than $7.3 million in property tax refunds if approved by the Yonkers City Council on Tuesday, according to lohud.com.
The refunds are for challenges made by property owners of their tax assessment through the court system and cover taxes due from the 1990s to 2014, said lohud.com.
If the board approves the refunds, the biggest refund of $1,055,150.19 will be paid to 1523 Central Park Avenue Owners Inc. for taxes assessed from 2006-14, added lohud.com.
