Yonkers' Cahill Calls Schneiderman 'Dangerous' In Attorney General Race

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – In a new ad, Republican attorney general candidate John Cahill calls Attorney General Eric Schneiderman “dangerous” and bashes Schneiderman for “Schneiderman’s efforts to gain the parole of convicted rapist Ronald Bower,” reports the Albany Times Union.

Bower, a Long Island security guard who was sentenced to 54 years for sex crimes in the early 1990s, was paroled earlier this year. The Parole Board’s decision came after a letter submitted by Thomas Schellhammer – who led the attorney general’s Conviction Review Bureau – that stated it appeared unlikely that Bower committed the crimes according to the Times Union report.
