YONKERS, N.Y. -- IAC Applications, a leading Yonkers software company offering popular products for desktop, browser and mobile devices, recently received a 2016 Work-Life Seal of Distinction from WorldatWork Alliance, a nonprofit human resources association and compensation authority.

The seal is a unique mark of excellence designed to identify organizational success in work-life effectiveness. IAC Applications joins the ranks of companies such as Dell, MasterCard, Nestlé Purina PetCare, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cigna and others in receiving this year’s prestigious business award.

“From creative perks like weekly yoga sessions and midday fitness breaks, to subsidized lunches, flexible work hours, and opportunities to volunteer in the community - we’ve worked hard to put in place programs that help employees achieve success in their life and on the job,” said Julie-Anne Selvey, vice president of Brand at IAC Applications. “Receiving a Work-Life Seal of Distinction validates our efforts and shows us that we’re on the right path in providing a rewarding, enriching work environment for all employees.”

Begun in 2012, the Seal of Distinction measures the overall strength of organizations’ work-life portfolio and success in creating positive work environments.

Organizations are evaluated on work-life programs, policies and practices that meet the needs and challenges facing employees today including  the following:

  • Caring for dependents
  • Health and wellness
  • Financial support and education
  • Community involvement
  • Paid and unpaid time off
  • Flexibility
  • Workforce experience and engagement

“We congratulate our 2016 recipients who represent a wide variety of industries, demonstrating that enhancing employee engagement and work-life effectiveness is a business imperative for organizations of all sizes and strengths. These organizations are the pinnacle of excellence in workplace strategies that enhance employees’ lives,” said Anne Ruddy, president and chief executive officer of WorldatWork. “By understanding the value of investing in their employees, each organization has taken a critical step toward future business success.”
