Yankees Honor Ballplayer Killed In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – A ballplayer killed in Yonkers was honored by the New York Yankees before Thursday night's game at Yankee Stadium, according to News 12.

Yonkers native Michael Nolan was honored with a ceremony at Yankee Stadium Thursday night with his family in attendance.

Michael Nolan was killed in a drive-by shooting in October after recently being drafted by the Oakland A's, News 12 said.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi gave Nolan's family a jersey to be auctioned off to benefit the scholarship fund that bears his name, reported News 12.
