Black History Month Gospel Concert : 6:30 p.m. Hosted by City Councilman Christopher Johnson, the second annual Black History Month Gospel Concert will continue Yonkers’ tribute to African-Americans during the month of February. Saturday, Feb. 23
“Yonkers Got Talent” Launch Party : 5:20 p.m. Hosted by the Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, the launch party will begin the citywide talent competitions, “Yonkers Idol” and “Yonkers Best Dance Crew.” Party-goers can enjoy karaoke, ice skating and a competition information session. Aspiring participants also will be given an opportunity to stretch their vocal chords and loosen up their legs by practicing for their auditions. Registration is free and open to Yonkers residents only. Interested participants can reserve attendance to the kick-off party by emailing email@example.com. E.J. Sunday, Feb. 24
Family Art Project : 1 p.m. The Sunday series continues, giving families a chance to create a large-scale panoramic mural with he Hudson River Museum’s Teaching Artist-in- Residence Dahlia Broul. Visitors can also create their own “myriorama,” a series of cards combined to make a pocket-size “endless landscape,” to take home.
