Westchester's Tambor Leaving Hit Show Amid Sex Harassment Allegations

Northern Westchester's Jeffrey Tambor is leaving the hit Amazon show "Transparent" that's garnered him numerous accolades, including two Emmys, after claims made earlier this month that he is under investigation that he behaved in a sexually inappropriate manner.

The Cross River resident issued a statement Sunday, Nov. 19 saying how, in the wake of accusations of sexual harassment by members of the "Transparent," team (which he has strongly denied), he doesn’t see how he can return.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Tambor said playing the character of transgender woman Maura Pfefferman was one of the greatest privileges and creative experiences of his life.

Amazon is investigating two claims against Tambor, according to the story, and multiple individuals and groups have called for the show to continue without the Westchester actor.
