Attendees at the event also included program graduates, faculty and college administrators.

“We were very fortunate to have someone of Dan’s caliber come here to meet with our students,” says professor Carolyn Christesen, co-director of the college program.

“As a college student, it feels great to have a representative from one of the world’s most prominent accounting firms here. We really appreciate Dan for all his support,” says Ken Arias, “He is very impressive and knowledgeable and he really changed the way I see the accounting profession.”

This year’s graduates of the college program were: Kyria Aho, Emre Ayanoglu, Kevil Carpintero Bernal, Emily Eliseo, Nadi Erroja, Lizbeth Falsetti, Pasquale Franciosa, Denis Galdamez, Ryan Haslauer, Sandra Henriques, Gabriela Montoya, Mariana Reis, Alejandra Saavedra Marin, Ashley Salazar, Khalil Saleh, Kunjae Shin, Elva Toovey, Giuliana Villafuerte, Magaly G. The student leadership and professional development program is a co-curricular program for business students, nurturing their leadership skills and encouraging professional development.

The program focuses on developing competencies that are not typically taught in a classroom setting; goal setting, etiquette, communication, values and other soft skills. The program also requires that participants hold a leadership role for at least one year.
