A registered "sexually violent offender" accused of having deviate sexual intercourse with children has reported an address change in Yonkers.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester County residents regarding the residency of 63-year-old Luis Hernandez, who has moved to an apartment on Hamilton Avenue in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Hernandez a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, in February 1999, Hernandez had deviate sexual intercourse with a 5-year-old girl, 12-year-old girl, as well as a boy, whose age has not been released. He was convicted in May that year of sodomizing and having deviate intercourse with a person under the age of 11. His victims were reportedly known to him.

Hernandez was arrested by the Yonkers City Police Department's SOR Unit and sentenced to between six and 18 years in state prison. He remains under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers Police Department.
