The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester and Orange County residents regarding the residency of 46-year-old Dennis WIlliams, who has moved from Newburgh to a residence on Prospect Street in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Williams as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense." He is also designated as a sexually violent offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Williams had sexual contact with his 8-year-old victim in October 1997 on Long Island. He was convicted of first-degree sexual assault four years later and sentenced to five years probation. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers Police Department SOR Unit.
