Sex Offender Reports Move In Yonkers

A registered sex offender convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl has reported a move in Westchester County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 49-year-old Eduardo Oyola, who has moved to a residence on Morningside Avenue in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Oyola as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Sims had sexual intercourse and physically overpowered his victim in November 2003 and he was convicted of third-degree rape the following May and sentenced to a term of between one to three years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.
