The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 46-year-old Michael Whitehead, who has moved within Yonkers to a residence on Lennon Avenue.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Whitehead as a Level 2 threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Whitehead sexually abused his victim, leading to his arrest by the New York City Police Department Sex Offender Unit in March 199. He was convicted of second-degree sexual abuse later that year. Whitehead was sentenced to 10 months in local jail and is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.
