A registered "sexually violent" offender convicted of sexually abusing a 2-year-old girl has reported a move in Westchester County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 41-year-old Horatio Joss, who has moved from to an apartment on Highland Place in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Joss as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Joss had sexual contact with his 2-year-old victim in March 2002 and was convicted of second-degree aggravated sexual abuse in September the following year. Joss was sentenced to a term of between 1 day and 2 years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.

Further info on Joss from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
