Sex Offender Convicted Of Abusing Girl, 2, Reports Move In Yonkers

A registered "sexually violent" offender convicted of sexually abusing a 2-year-old girl has reported a move in Westchester County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 41-year-old Horatio Joss, who has moved from to an apartment on Highland Place in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Joss as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.” He has also been designated as a sexually violent sex offender.

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Joss had sexual contact with his 2-year-old victim in March 2002 and was convicted of second-degree aggravated sexual abuse in September the following year. Joss was sentenced to a term of between 1 day and 2 years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.
