Sex Offender Convicted Of Abusing Boy Reports Move In Yonkers

A registered offender convicted of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy has reported an address change in Westchester County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 42-year-old Michael Storms, who has moved to an apartment on Bruce Avenue in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Storms as a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Storms was convicted of second-degree criminal sexual act in 2000 after having deviate sexual intercourse and sexual contact with his victim. He was arrested by the New York State Police Crime Analysis Program VICAP and sentenced to a term of two to six years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.
