A registered sex offender convicted of having "deviate sexual intercourse" with a 10-year-old girl has reported a move in Westchester County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 38-year-old Terrance Jones, who has moved to an apartment on Highland Avenue in Yonkers.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Jones as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Jones had sexual intercourse and deviate sexual intercourse with his 10-year-old victim in September 1998. He was convicted of first-degree sexual assault in March the following year and sentenced to a term of between three and six years in state prison. Jones is now under the jurisdiction of the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit.

Further info on Jones from the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services can be accessed after entering the code in the CAPTCHA box found by clicking here.
