The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert on Tuesday to Westchester residents regarding the residency of 39-year-old James Taylor, who has moved to an apartment on North Broadway in Yonkers.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Taylor a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Taylor had sexual intercourse with his 13-year-old victim in 2004 and was arrested by the Yonkers City Police Department SOR Unit. He was convicted on a charge of second-degree rape for having intercourse with a person less than 15-years-old in July of that year and sentenced to between two and four years in state prison. He remains under the jurisdiction of law enforcement officials in Yonkers.
