YONKERS, N.Y. -- Businessman Franco Milio paid a $5,000 bribe to a Yonkers employee in 2011 according to federal court documents, a story in LoHud.com said Monday.

Milio, a builder,  testified against former Yonkers Councilwoman Sandy Annabi and her political mentor Zehy Jereis about paying thousands of dollars to get Annabi to support a land-swap deal in 2006, the report said.

Annabi, a former Democratic majority leader of the Yonkers City Council, was convicted in 2012 of accepting nearly $200,000 from Jereis, a former Yonkers Republican chairman, to drop her opposition against the Ridge Hill Shopping Center, the report said.
