PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Police in Port Chester are seeking assistance in located the parents or guardians of a man in his 20s suffering from a mental health disorder who was found on Weber Drive overnight.

The man, believed to be between 20 and 25 years old with severe Down syndrome, has been described as being 5-foot-5 and approximately 160 pounds with dirty blond hair. He was wearing a cream-colored hooded shirt over a Chicago Bulls NBA jersey, black basketball shorts and bray sneakers. He was found wandering around in the rain on Weber Drive near Midland Avenue at approximately 9 p.m., police said.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the area when a concerned resident contacted the department believing the man to be in distress. Police said the man had no forms of ID and was uncommunicative, unable to speak with paramedics and could not articulate his name or where he lives.

Police took the man to the hospital for evaluation, and as of Thursday morning, there had not been any reports of any missing persons. Anyone with information regarding the missing man’s identity or family can contact the department at (914) 939-1000.
