YONKERS, N.Y. -- The New York City Department of Environmental Protection is testing its Emergency Notification System at Hillview Reservoir on Tuesday, May 6.

The test is set to take place from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 6. The alarm will sound intermittently during the test phase for a minimum of one minute to a maximum of five minutes, according to a release. There will be a notification through the DEP public announcement system preceding each alarm test stating that the alarm is being tested, according to the release.
