Nor'easter Will Bring 2-3 Inches Of Rain, Wind Gusts Yonkers

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The latest Nor'easter to bear down on Westchester County will bring heavy rains that could mix with snow and blustery wind gusts through Wednesday and early Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain will be heavy at times throughout Tuesday with up to 3 inches possible during the day. Due to the heavy rains, the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch through Wednesday at 1 a.m. and a coastal flood warning until 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

The NWS has also issued a wind advisory for Southern Westchester through 5 p.m. on Wednesday with wind gusts up to 33 mph possible. 

Rain will continue through the evening with a temperature around 35 degrees. 

Rain will mix with snow again on Wednesday through the day in into the evening hours before changing over to all snow. Snow accumulation could be up to 2 inches. 

The threat of more wet weather will linger in the area on Thursday with snow possibly changing over to rain before noon. High temperatures are expected to be near 40 degrees with at 30 percent chance of rain. 

The dry out should begin on Friday with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 42.
