New Planetarium Opens At Yonkers' Hudson River Museum

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Mayor Mike Spano recently unveiled a new digital Planetarium at the Hudson River Museum.

The state-of-the-art planetarium uses the complete NASA Data Set. Visitors will be able to see the entire known universe in three dimensions. The museum is at 511 Warburton Ave. in Yonkers. 

The planetarium features shows daily. The 12:30 p.m. star show is geared toward younger school-age children, the 2 p.m. live demonstration in the Planetarium is an interactive show on what the sky is like on the evening of the program and the 3:30 p.m. star show is for more mature audiences, including children age 8 and up.
