To support City Harvest's holiday effort, MCU branches will accept monetary donations and nonperishable goods now through Jan. 16. MCU is encouraging its members, as well as community members, to help City Harvest reach its citywide goal of collecting more than 1 million pounds of food this holiday season.

MCU branches will also be drop-off sites for the season's Toys for Tots campaign. New, unwrapped toys and games can be dropped off at any MCU branch from now until Dec. 14.

“Our goal is simple: to help those in our communities who are in need,” said Mark S. Brantley MCU chairman of the board. “We strive to adhere to the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people,’ and the opportunity to help people in our community through charitable efforts is just one of the key ways we can put this philosophy into action.

"We are confident that our membership, and the New York community as a whole, will join us this holiday season to give back to those in need.”

The MCU Yonkers branch is at 38 S. Broadway.
