Mudslide In Yonkers Leaves Residents Out In The Cold

YONKERS, N. Y. — Residents of 95 Walsh Road, where a mudslide occurred at the rear of the building on Wednesday, have been told that they will not be able to return to the building for at least two weeks until the property behind the building is safe and stabilized.

According to Yonkers' Communications Director Christina Gilmartin, "Approximately 200 senior residents of the Municipal Housing complex (102 units) are temporarily displaced due to the mudslide. All of the residents are either staying with relatives or at alternative housing the city of Yonkers has secured for them."
