ARDSLEY, N.Y. -- Two makeshift memorials have been erected at the Ashford Avenue Bridge in Ardsley, where a 21-year-old man was killed when his car exited the Saw Mill River Parkway and plunged off the bridge on July 31.

The sad memorials of flowers, signs, messages and photos are on the deck and below the bridge where Christopher Seguinot of West Harrison crashed a few minutes after leaving a gathering of car enthusiasts. Seguinot died at the scene about 12:10 a.m.

One of the signs posted above Seguinot's photo reads, "I love you bro, you will be missed alot, bro."

According to Westchester County police, Seguinot's car broke through a guardrail, hit a tree and fell about 40 feet to the ground along the Saw Mill Parkway. It was unknown at the time whether the car was going at high speed or the driver didn't make the left or right turn at the top of the exit ramp that leads to the Ashford Avenue Bridge before going straight ahead and off the bridge.

Westchester County Police Commissioner George Longworth said on July 31 that a county police officer was on a Saw Mill patrol in Hastings-on-Hudson when he saw several cars slow traffic down, which can be a sign that a drag race is about to start. The accident is still under investigation.
