YONKERS, N.Y. --  A man run over by a Yonkers police vehicle in August 2013, may receive $175,000 from the city if the Yonkers City Council approves the settlement during its meeting on Tuesday, according to lohud.com.

Anibal Barcacel was run over by a police vehicle on Aug. 29, 2013, after officers received a report of an emotionally disturbed person on Rumsey Road, said lohud.com.

When officers arrived on the scene, a resident told them an intoxicated man was walking up and down Spruce Street, added lohud.com.

After talking to the resident, a police vehicle turned into the driveway at 221 Rumsey Road, running over Barcacel who was lying in the driveway, said lohud.com.

The officer didn't realize he had run over Barcacel until a second car arrived and saw him underneath the vehicle, added lohud.com.
