Keeping Up With The Kardashians In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – Hundreds of eager fans of all ages lined up inside and outside of the Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers on Friday, hoping to catch a glimpse of Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian.

The famous sisters were on hand to promote their “Kardashian Kollection” clothing line and to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the launch of their line at Sears. They posed for photos before signing autographs for 200 fans who recently purchased one of their items.

A custom cake — baked by Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, N.J. — featuring pieces from their line, was presented to the Kardashians before the meet-and-greet.

“Thanks so much, we love you guys,” Khloe said after the trio was introduced to squealing fans by Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano.

A crowd began forming in the middle of the night, as residents hoped to be one of the lucky 200 to meet the celebrities. Dozens of police officers patrolled the parking lot and mall to ensure the crowd didn’t overwhelm Sears’ employees.

“It’s getting crazy in here,” one security guard said. “I thought it was busy before, but it’s crazy now. We’ve got a full house today.”

Fans who waited through the night were rewarded with a signed photograph of the sisters and briefly spoke with them before being ushered back into the crowd.

“This was amazing,” said Teddy Leone, who lined up at 6 a.m. “We waited in line for 10 hours for this, and it was totally worth it. Did you see them!?”

Some Kardashian fans jumped up and down with delight, craning their neck simply to get a peek, while others walked away, grinning from ear to ear while clutching photos. One excited fan burst into tears and ran off after talking to Kourtney, muttering, “I’m shaking.”

“We love all of you guys,” Khloe said. “We can’t wait to give you all hugs!”
