“Our Yonkers’ neighborhoods are filled with beautiful homes with thoughtful designs and unique details catching the eye of passersby,” said Spano in a statement. “The goal of our new Curb Appeal Award is to recognize the hard work of those who encourage others in their area to take pride in their community, by enhancing its curb appeal.”
Residents can be nominated online in one of three categories: landscaping, exterior improvement and creativity/originality. Photos of the property should be submitted with a description of the candidate’s property.
- The property has a pleasant appearance, is well-maintained and contributes to community appearance
- A recent effort was made to improve and enhance the appearance of the property
- The property owner demonstrates originality and creativity
- The property stands out as an attractive property in its neighborhood
Winners of the Curb Appeal award will be recognized by Mayor Spano at City Hall on Monday, July 16.
