Heavy Flooding Reported On Yonkers Roadways

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Police are urging drivers to use caution after overnight rain and melting snow caused heavy flooding conditions on several roads, including the Saw Mill Parkway in Yonkers on Friday

The heaviest flooding is currently on Yonkers Avenue from Dunwoodie Golf Course to Midland Avenue.

Some homeowners are also reporting basement flooding.

"Do not drive through flooded low lying areas, water may be deeper than it appears," Yonkers police said in a statement. "Use caution while driving if you must go out."
