Reim, who was arrested on felony charges of possessing and promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child earlier this year, had his case adjourned again to Thursday, Aug. 24.

A warrant for Reim’s arrest was obtained on May 5 based on a CyberTipline report filed by ChatStep, an image/file sharing website, stating that a person at that location uploaded an image of child pornography to one of the site’s chat rooms, according to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino.

Investigators with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office High Technology Crime Bureau proceeded to execute a search warrant at Reim’s home in Pelham. During the execution of the warrant, Reim made admissions about having previously used ChatStep and looking online for images of children, Scarpino said.

A preliminary forensic examination of Reim’s computer devices indicated that he possessed images of sexual performances by children.

Following his arrest, Reim was replaced by Peter Potocki on the board, who was elected on June 2 and will serve a one-year term ending on April 2 next year.

Reim became a trustee in April 2014 and previously served as the board liaison to the Fire Department. He moved to Pelham in 2011 and was a managing partner at Civitas Ventures, a venture capital fund, and an adjunct professor at Columbia SIPA, Yale School of Management and the National Science Foundation.
