YONKERS, N. Y. -- Utility officials hoped to have power restored by Friday afternoon to hundreds of customers in Yonkers who lost power after a fallen tree crushed a car and took out power early Friday, according to News 12.
Heavy rain caused the tree to collapse and damage power lines and a power transformer at around 12:30 a.m. Friday in Yonkers, cutting off power to 858 customers. News 12 reports that no one was in the car crushed by the tree.
