Downed Tree Knocks Out Power In Yonkers

YONKERS, N. Y. -- No one was injured but power was lost for several hours early Friday when a tree came crashing down in the middle of Frederic Street in Yonkers, according to News 12.

The tree fell around 1 a.m. and struck a car while knocking out power to about 54 households between Sommerville Place and Frederic Place, News 12 said. No bad weather was reported in the area.

No structures were damaged, and power was restored at around 5 a.m., News 12 Hudson Valley reports.
