Cats, Birds Make Unlikely Friends At Yonkers Waterfront

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Anyone who has been to the Yonkers waterfront behind Riverside High School off Warburton Avenue knows the parking lot is home to dozens of territorial birds who don't bat an eye at the sight of a human or a car.

The fearless feathered flock took their bravery to another level and invited some local cats to hang out and enjoy the stunning views of the Hudson River.

Two stray cats were found nonchalantly basking in the sun alongside dozens of pigeons and seagulls Thursday afternoon, Nov. 20.

The new friends were seen spending time much closer together when the Daily Voice arrived. However, the birds scattered, as they were more fearful of a human than their feline predators.

"Can't we all just get along?"

These animals think so!
