Car Severs Pole On Cross County Parkway Ramp

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A car accident caused heavy delays near the Cross County Expressway in Yonkers on Monday after it severed a utility poll and left live wires dangling, according to News 12 Westchester.

The accident occurred on Route 101 and caused power outages to nearly a dozen businesses and residences in the area. Service has since been restored, News 12 Westchester said. 

A man and a woman were taken to the hospital with injuries, but they are expected to recover, News 12 Westchester reported.
