Broken Water Main Shuts Down Water Supply For 21 Yonkers Homes

YONKERS, N.Y. -- The City of Yonkers' Department of Public Works has temporarily turned off the water supply to 21 homes due to a water main break on Ritchie Drive.

The water main break occurred Friday, May 20.

Traffic on Ritchie Drive is closed from Wendover Road to Marshall Road, but residents are able to access their homes.

The city's Office of Emergency Management provided bottled water and other supplies to affected residents.

Water service is expected to return by Monday.
