Bridge Maintenance Work Forces Lane Closures In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Bridge maintenance work will again force some lane closures in Yonkers, says Mayor Mike Spano.

Yonkers motorists should be aware of lane closures in the area of Kimball Avenue and the Sprain Brook Parkway, and DeWitt Avenue and the Sprain, between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

The work that was taking place in the area of the Kimball Avenue bridge and the Sprain Brook Parkway Thursday between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. will also go on on Friday during the same time.

According to the traffic alert Spano posted on the city’s Facebook page, inspection work will also affect southbound traffic near DeWitt Avenue and the Sprain on Friday as well.

That work is also expected to go on from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
