Arborist Fined For Cutting Down Trees In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. -- A Yonkers Arborist was recently fined $64,000 for illegally trimming trees, News 12 Westchester said.

Rudolph Place was hired by three Yonkers homeowners who asked to trim the tops of trees so they could have a better view of the Palisades. The trees Place trimmed, however, didn't belong to the homeowners; they were on Old Croton Aqueduct State Park property, thus making the trimming illegal, News 12 Westchester said.
