The New York State Amber Alert that included the Hudson Valley has been canceled after a 2-year-old daughter of a police sergeant from Staten Island was found safe.

The girl's father is now in custody after police stopped the vehicle they were in on the Deegan Expressway near 233rd Street around 3 p.m., according to reports.

Original report, Tuesday, 12:15 p.m.

A New York State Amber Alert that includes the Hudson Valley has been issued by state police for a 2-year-old daughter of a police sergeant from Staten Island.

Kim Woo was allegedly taken by Johnny Woo, her father, from a Staten Island home around 8:30 on Tuesday morning and is believed to be in imminent danger, authorities said.

Johnny Woo, 45, was last seen driving a black 2014 Kia Sorrento with New York Registration GHH8886. He is described as 5-foot-4 with brown eyes and black hair. Kim Woo has brown hair and eyes and is 2-foot-6 and weighs about 30 pounds. She was last seen wearing pink pajamas.

The girl's mother is an NYPD sergeant, according to WPIX, who reportedly called police after the estranged couple was arguing about their divorce. Johnny Woo then allegedly punched her in the stomach before grabbing the 2-year-old from a car seat and placing her in his car.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the state's Amber Alert hotline at 1-866-697-2623.
