Actor James Franco Visits Yonkers Mayor During Movie Shoot

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano was recently visited by actor James Franco, who was on a movie shoot at City Hall.

Since launching the Mayor’s Office of Film and Photography and filmyonkers.com, Yonkers has seen a sharp increase in movie production in the city.

More than 200 films have been produced in Yonkers since the initiative was launched, up from just a dozen in previous years.
