Yonkers Student Graduates From Newman's Own Fellowship Program

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Rey Llena of Yonkers has been honored by Newman’s Own Foundation of Westport, Conn., as part of the organization’s first graduating class of the organization’s Fellowship Program, which provides recent college graduates with work experience in the world of philanthropy.

The program, now in its second year, is designed to expand, enhance and diversify the pipeline of new talent entering nonprofit careers. 

Llena, a recent graduate of Trinity College, worked directly with the Newman’s Own Foundation organization to pursue their passion of working in the nonprofit sector. 

Each Newman’s Own Foundation Fellow is selected based on demonstrated leadership skills, as well as commitment to social issues and community development.
