Food Bank For Westchester Elects Seven Business Leaders To Board

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Food Bank for Westchester has added seven new business leaders to its board of directors to help fulfill its efforts to make sure those in need in Westchester County have something to eat.

Elected to serve were Anne Colucci, Jean Marie Connolly, Jeanne Fogel, Douglas Ruttenberg, Scott Sherman, Daniel Singer and Michael Wilson. 

“It feels good to know that our work has inspired these distinguished business and community leaders to join the Food Bank’s Board of Directors,” said Ellen Lynch, president and CEO. “Collectively, they bring an exciting portfolio of life experience and perspective to our leadership talent bank, and are already having an impact on our organizational ability to deliver. Individually, each holds a serious personal commitment to enhancing the quality of life experienced by every person living in our County.” 

Colucci, of White Plains, works for Affinity Federal Credit Union in New Jersey. She devotes many hours of volunteer work to her church and children’s school and is a board member of the RDC Center for Counseling and Human Development. 

Connolly, of Croton-on-Hudson, works for BNY Mellon Wealth Management. She was named one of Westchester’s Most Successful Female Business Leaders by 914INC. magazine in 2013. In 2014, she received the Dream Big Award from Kids X-Press and was named the 2014 Honoree by the Westchester County Bar Foundation. 

Fogel, of Rye, serves as vice president of the board of directors of the Westchester Children’s Museum. She previously worked as a brand strategist at Interbrand, where she was part of the team working on the Feeding America re-naming. 

Ruttenberg, of White Plains, is a partner at PKF O’Connor Davies. He is the recipient of the 2015 “Most Trusted Advisor” award for being customer focused and providing sound business advice to his clients. 

Sherman, of West Harrison, is chief legal officer and general counsel of Tiger Management LLC. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Purchase Community House and has served as a co-chair on the board of Generation Harvest, a division of City Harvest, as well as on City Harvest’s Leadership Council. 

Singer, of Briarcliff Manor, is chief operating officer and co-president of Robison Oil. He serves as co-chair of the American Jewish Committee’s Energy Independence Committee and on its Westchester board of directors. 

Wilson, of Scarsdale, is the vice president of Wilson & Son Jewelers in Scarsdale. He currently sits as a board member and marketing chair at the American Gem Society. He has received many awards and honors, including being named Father of the Year by the American Diabetes Association and being inducted into the Business Council of Westchester’s Hall of Fame

“Our new directors possess a dynamic range of skills and expertise that will serve to build the Food Bank’s strength and vitality, and enhance our leadership position in the community,” said Maria Bronzi, chairwoman of the board.
