Moments before the start, Jill O'Donnell-Tormey, chief executive officer and director of scientific affairs at the Cancer Research Institute, along with event organizers, will address hundreds of participants in Yonkers, N.Y., and share the total number of participants and funds raised at the 2015 Ride.

This year, there will be more than 107,000 cancer diagnoses in New York and it is estimated that one in four deaths in the United States will be caused by cancer. The ride is a global event, which brings together communities of riders, survivors and their supporters for one common goal: to conquer cancer.

Funds raised through The Ride to Conquer Cancer will enable the Cancer Research Institute to support life-saving immunotherapy research, treatment and education programs at top universities and hospitals in New York City and around the world.
