The show premieres Saturday, Nov. 25 courtesy of Todd Gershwin, a Rye resident and the nephew of the famous lyrical duo George and Ira Gershwin.

As co-owner of the George Gershwin music business, the longtime producer has developed and produced numerous successful theatrical productions, Broadway shows, concerts and tours for various iconic brands. Being a Westchester resident he is intent on bringing the best caliber shows to local audiences.

"I grew up spending many holidays in Connecticut, so bringing this wonderful show to The Palace during Thanksgiving weekend is very meaningful to me," he said.

"'A Charlie Brown Christmas' is unique because it is a show that parents and even grandparents grew up with, so they can now share it with a new generation of fans."

SUNY Purchase is also part of the back story. Gershwin produced two touring companies simultaneously at the Westchester college, using its faculty and facilities.

Said Gershwin: "Countless staff and students proved to be a wonderful addition to the production process."

Tickets to the 'Charlie Brown' are $22 to $37 with an optional (additional) $40 VIP Meet & Greet.

The Palace Theatre is located at 61 Atlantic Street in Stamford. Tickets may be purchased at www.palacestamford.org or by calling the box office at 203-325-4466.
