Lower Hudson Watershed Collaboration And Partnership Discusses Environment

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Residents can learn what they can do to help the environment during the Lower Hudson Watershed Collaboration and Partnership event, April 21 at the Center for Urban River at Beczek at Sarah Lawrence College.

Residents can learn about upcoming citizen science, conservation, education, and other programs in the Lower Hudson Watershed from partner groups such as Riverkeeper, Groundwork Hudson Valley, Federated Conservationists of Westchester County, Saw Mill River Coalition, Bronx River Alliance, Pocantico River Watershed Alliance, Sparkill Creek Watershed Alliance, and PACE University. 

They will also be able to network and brainstorm with environmental professionals and other concerned citizens about threats and opportunities in the region, such as sewage pollution, flooding, green infrastructure, and resiliency to climate change. 

Residents, students, community leaders, environmental professionals are all encouraged to attend. 

The free event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at 35 Alexander St.
