YONKERS, N.Y. -- The Yonkers waterfront will light up for a Fourth of July Celebration presented by Empire Casino, according to an announcement by Mayor Mike Spano.
Entertainment and music will highlight the family oriented evening, starting at 5 p.m., and the fireworks display will be at 9:15 p.m. over the Hudson River.
"July Fourth is not only a time to enjoy the love of family and friends,” said Tim Rooney, president and CEO of Empire City Casino.
“It is a time to reflect on the incredible freedoms we enjoy, to remember the sacrifices of the men, women and families who protect those freedoms, and celebrate this incredible country and city in which we are blessed to live. It is our honor to be able to provide the great City of Yonkers with a Star-Spangled Spectacular that will light up the sky.”
