Tuesday, Jan. 29

Winter Picture Bingo: 4 p.m. Children are invited to play Winter Picture Bingo at the Yonkers Public Library’s Will Branch.  Prizes will be awarded. Call 914-337-1500 to register. Story room, Will Branch of Yonkers Public Library, 1500 Central Park Ave.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

Planning Board Meeting: 7 p.m. The city Planning Board will host a scoping session, where it will discuss the potential impacts of a proposed Glenwood Power Station, Trevor Park and JFK Marina Park redevelopment. Fourth floor of City Hall, 40 S. Broadway.

Thursday, Jan. 31

Preventing Falls Among Seniors: Noon. Seniors are invited to a free workshop designed to help prevent and lower the risk of falls. Co-hosted by several local elected officials along with VNSNY Choice, the workshop will help seniors identify situations and activities that can put them at risk of falls, as well as how people can assess home for hazards. Attendees also will learn how to choose footwear and walking aids and where they can find local resources to help them build strength and stamina.  Coyne Park Community Center, 777 McLean Ave.
