Saturday, Dec. 1

Book Sale: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Grab all sorts of books at a cheap price and help the Yonkers Public Library out in the process. The Friends of the Yonkers Public Library are hosting a book sale in the Sen. Flynn Room, Will Branch, Yonkers Public Library, 1500 Central Park Ave.

Holiday Classics: 10 a.m. Showcase Cinema De Lux kicks off its monthlong “Holiday Classics” program. Every Saturday at 10 a.m., get free admission to a classical holiday movie with the donation of a non-perishable food item to benefit a local food pantry. This Saturday, a showing of “White Christmas” will be on the big screen. Showcase Cinema De Lux , Westchester’s Ridge Hill, 1 Ridge Hill Road.

Sunday, Dec. 2

Free Arts Day: Noon to 5 p.m.  Free admission to the Hudson River Museum and its planetarium as part of Free Arts Day. Beginning at 1 p.m., watch magician Benjamin Levy perform with his famous tops in a show seen on The Martha Stewart Show. You also can create miniature Santas and dreidels as part of the program and take a holiday tour inside Nybelwyck Hall, a 24-room dollhouse, as well as build your own dollhouse room.
