Wednesday, Jan. 23

Winter Story and Craft: 4 p.m. The Will Branch of the Yonkers Public Library invites parents and children to listen to a winter story and make arts and craft projects. Registration is limited. Please call 914-337-1500 for more information. Will Branch, Yonkers Public Library, 1500 Central Park Ave.

Comedy Night: 7 p.m. The weekly comedy night at Empire City Casino will be headlined by Rob Cantrell, a finalist on “Last Comic Standing” and a man who has appeared on Comedy Central and HBO. Comics Chris Strait and MC Akaash Singh will also be at the event. Admission is $5 for Empire Club members and $15 for non-members. Elite members will be admitted free. All attendees receive a free drink ticket.  Good Time Room, Empire City Casino, 811 Yonkers Ave.

Thursday, Jan 24.

Benefit for Breezy Point: 7 p.m. Xaviars X20 On The Hudson will host a fundraiser for victims of Hurricane Sandy  living in Breezy Point, Queens.  Tickets are $200 and include food, drinks, raffles and live music by Breezy Point's own, “Hell or High Water” band.  The cost of tickets is tax deductible.  For more information contact Robert.F.Murphy@citi.com.
