The event will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Mahopac’s Putnam County Golf Course.

Proceeds will help United Way provide thousands of Putnam residents with crisis referrals and information through its 2-1-1 helpline open 365 days a year.

This year, Garrison composer and keyboardist Art Labriola and his group will be providing live music.

This year, United Way will honor five residents for their extraordinary volunteerism: Greg Amato of Mahopac, retired chief, Carmel Police Department; David Amram of Putnam Valley, a world-renowned composer; Caroline Dumont of Patterson, dedicated member of the Emerald Society of Putnam County; attorney William Shilling of Carmel, who has served on numerous boards and committees; and David Lilburne of Philipstown, longtime member of the Cold Spring Lions Club.

Best Chefs attendees will enjoy cuisine from some of the area’s finest food establishments, including Char Steakhouse, Clocktower Grill Kitchen & Bar, Four Brothers Restaurant & Pizza, The Freight House, Johnny Gelato, The Parting Glass Irish Pub & Grill, Rick’s Seafood and Social on 6.

Offerings will be paired with tastings of wines, beers and spirits from Brewster’s Bull & Barrel Brew Pub, Brotherhood Winery and Kas Spirits in Mahopac.

United Way also invites the community to its 53rd annual meeting, scheduled for the hour before Best Chefs.

The annual meeting will include an awards program and ceremony to honor recipients of United Way’s Spirit of Westchester and Putnam Awards, given in recognition of outstanding leadership in the categories of Corporate (TD Bank), Community (United Way of Northern Westchester), Labor (Yonkers Federation of Teachers) and Partnership (The Community Collective Impact Forum Partnership). United Way will also recognize the 2015-16 Ruth Taylor Scholarship Awardees.
