Movie Mondays Screening Of 'Maleficent' in Yonjers Features Live Jazz

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Monday is the final event in the third-annual free Movie Mondays at Ridge Hill.

The activities start at 7 p.m. with the movie to follow at sunset all at Ridge Hill Shopping Center

This week's event features the film "Maleficent" with a musical guest, Japanese alto saxophonist Erena Terakubo. Only 23 years old, Terakubo has a No. 1 jazz album in Japan and has performed internationally at festivals and with jazz greats Ron Carter, Christian McBride and Michel Camilo. This will mark one of her quartet's first New York performances.

The evening will also feature free sliders and coloring table for kids presented by newly opened restaurant 5 Napkin. Additional vendors will be on hand as at all previous events. The activities start at 7 p.m. with the movie to follow at sunset all at Ridge Hill Shopping Center
