L. Roger Kennedy, Lifelong Greenwich Resident

GREENWICH, Conn. – L. Roger Kennedy, a lifelong Greenwich resident, died on Sunday. He was 87.

Kennedy was born on June 19, 1924, to Paul and Loretta Brennan Kennedy. He graduated from Greenwich High School and Fairfmont University in West Virginia. Kennedy founded Kennedy Security Services, Inc. in 1959. He was also a lifetime member of the New York Roadrunners Club and completed over 100 marathons around the world.

Kennedy is survived by his stepdaughter, Lenore Kennedy Lyons; daughters Colleen Kennedy and Shannon Elizabeth Kennedy and her husband, Mark S. Cook; five grandchildren; and one great grandson.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, located at 178 Greenwich Ave. in Greenwich. Internment will be private.
