Wednesday mornings strong rains kept city residents off boats at themarina, away from the water altogether, out of parks and worriedabout more predicted raindrops to come the rest of Wednesday.When skies cleared shortly after 3 p.m., downtown streets were filledwith people dinning, people enjoying the break in weather whilewondering if Mother Nature would change to the morning's dark andgloomy atmosphere.Families with small children could also be seen in parks throughoutthe sunny afternoon, but new cloudy skies drove people backinside to wait for the anticipated storm.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for the area until 1 a.m. Friday.
